I’m pleased to report that since NuLink purchased nuTV and Acceleron Digital Services from Newnan Utilities last April, we’ve been working hard to ensure a seamless transition, with no interruption in service. We’re moving forward with the launch of new services like video on demand and digital telephone, and a new billing system. We’ve also added a walk-in customer service center at
2-A Jackson Street for your convenience.

Our new billing system will bill in four cycles, one month in advance. This is because utility companies, like Newnan Utilities, bill in arrears for power and water already consumed. Broadband telecommunications companies, like NuLink, bill in advance for services to be provided, because our prices are not based on consumption levels.

With this said, when Newnan Utilities sends their last Digital Services Bill, it’s possible that, depending on their cycle, some NuLink customers could receive their bill for September at about the same time. We understand that getting two bills at once might be confusing, and perhaps inconvenient, but this will happen only once. Here’s how this will work:

  • Your final digital services bill from Newnan Utilities will be for the month of August.
  • Your first NuLink bill will be for the month of September, and could be for more than four weeks, depending on your new billing cycle. Remember, this will happen only once, and you will have 20 days to make your payment!
  • After this one-time transition billing, NuLink will send you a monthly bill for one month’s service.
  • If you’re presently using the pre-authorized payment option with Newnan Utilities, NuLink will continue to honor this method of payment.
